How is the data collected?

1. Electronic data exchange

Electronic data delivery is growing in importance as systems in the retail trade become more advanced. This is especially important in the large retail groups, where there are large quantities of sales records.

2. Manual data collection

Despite the growing importance of electronic data exchange, it is still necessary to undertake manual audits of stores where electronic data is not available. This audit is carried out by GfK trained auditors.
