Expansion
to GfK Australia’s IT Tracking Service

GfK
Australia is pleased to announce the expansion of its IT Tracking Service with
the launch of three new product categories in 2006. These are:
- Data
Projectors – including DLP and LGD projectors, for consumer and business
markets. Initially, this weekly and monthly service will be based on
GfK’s panel of Organised Retail Chains only, with a view to expanding
the coverage to the wider IT channel and specialist audio/visual channel
during 2006. This service will be available from January 2006.
- Networking
Hardware – including routers, broadband modems, switches, hubs, access
points and multimedia gateways. This will be a weekly and monthly tracking
service, based on GfK’s panel of Organised Retail Chains. This service
will be available from March 2006.
- Storage
Devices – including internal and external hard disk drives, and CD-, DVD-,
WORM- & MO-drives. This will be a weekly and monthly tracking service,
based on GfK’s panel of Organised Retail Chains and Independent
Retailers. This service will be available in the second half of 2006
Expanded
geographical coverage in 2006
GfK
will also be expanding geographical coverage of its IT Tracking Service to
include New Zealand. The following product categories will be measured:
- Desktop
PCs
- Notebooks
- Printers
- Multifunction
Devices
- Monitors
The
New Zealand service will be a weekly and monthly measurement through GfK’s
panel of Organised Retail Chains. This service will be available from March
2006.
